About raising the consumption tax rate

With the revision of the consumption tax law scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2019, the consumption tax rate for Live2D Store products will be increased from 8% to 10%. Specific guidance is as follows.

* It also applies to those who use Live2D Cubism 3 PRO.
* There is no change in the tax-excluded price of the subscription plan.
* The tax rate is 10% regardless of the payment method.

New purchase customers

If you purchase a new subscription plan by September 30, 2019, a tax rate of 8% will apply. However, if you choose monthly payment for monthly plan and annual plan, 8% tax rate will be applied for billing in September and 10% tax rate will be charged for billing after October . Customers using bank transfer purchase in September and the 8% tax rate will apply even if the deposit is in October.

Customers who are currently subscribed

For claims made after October 1st, a 10% tax rate will apply. In other words, a 10% tax rate will apply to recurring charges (paid monthly for annual plans) and renewal charges charged after October 1.

New sales for monthly plan monthly payment

Thank you for your patience, the new “Live2D Cubism PRO for indie / business Annual Plan Monthly Payment” will be suspended on September 17, 2019. Customers who have subscribed to this plan can continue to use it until the next renewal date, but we plan to stop renewing this plan as of the end of March 2020.
